Blueberry forte plant

The height of the plant reaches 1.5 meters . The fruits grow in clusters, and the berries themselves are quite large and black in color. This unpretentious tree tolerates both cold and heat well. It has a very high yield. If in European countries blueberries forte are grown as a perennial plant, then in Russian gardeners sunberries are sown every year at the same time as tomatoes. In order to get a good harvest, seeds obtained from the largest blueberries are sown.

The berries ripen until late autumn, and if for some reason they do not have time to ripen, then they can be ripened after the harvest has been harvested. The bush is hung in a warm room with its roots up.

Before eating, blueberries forte should be doused with boiling water, otherwise they will have a tart taste, like all nightshades. The berries are used to make pies, preserves and jam. One hundred grams of blueberries contain about two hundred kilocalories.

Growing

Usually seedlings are grown, which are subsequently planted in the ground. As already mentioned, the timing and pattern of planting blueberries is similar to how tomatoes are grown. The stems of the plant are strong and do not need tying. You should make sure that the bunches of berries do not lie on the ground. Since this plant is an annual in our latitudes, the seeds are collected in the fall for planting next year.

Some rules for caring for sunberry

  • The plant does not require much moisture, so it tolerates dry seasons well. Water it sparingly.
  • Blueberries forte do not require a lot of fertilizers and fertilizing. If the soil is good, then only weeding and watering is enough.
  • If a lot of bunches have formed, then it is better to support them, otherwise, when they come into contact with the ground, the berries will spoil.
  • For a good harvest, be sure to trim the stepson shoots.
  • Berries begin to be picked in September. If they are not ripe for frost, then it’s okay. Hang the bushes in a warm room; they will ripen.
  • Sunberries do not like windy or poorly lit places.
  • A good blueberry harvest is obtained on light soils with high groundwater deposits - about fifty centimeters.
  • It’s good if cucumbers, onions or legumes grew in front of the blueberries.
  • Does not tolerate any type of cabbage near it.
  • Blueberries love sandy soil. To strengthen the soil, plant onions or lettuce near the plant, then remove them.

Diseases and pests

  • If the lower leaves of a plant change color, it means that it is most likely affected by brown spot . The disease is treated with Bordeaux mixture.
  • Berries can be spoiled by blossom end rot . Because of this, the fruits fall off before they have time to ripen. The main cause of this disease is drought.
  • Sometimes sunberries are attacked by aphids , and then the leaves wrinkle and fall off. Damaged bushes have to be removed, and the rest are treated with insecticides.
  • If white spots appear on the leaves, it means that the plant is affected by white spot . Often this disease occurs when there is excess moisture. To cure a blueberry plant, it is treated with Bordeaux mixture.
  • The most difficult disease that can affect blueberries is bacterial cancer . The trunk and fruits of the plant are covered with brown ulcers, and the seeds are no exception. The bushes have to be thrown away.

Growing at home

You can grow sunberries from seeds. Theoretically, seeds can be sown directly into the ground, but it is still much better to germinate them at home, because the seedling method is more reliable.

  3. Sunberry seeds germinate with great difficulty, so it is recommended to cut them a little at the place from which the sprout will grow. Or you can use another method that, by scratching the skin of the seeds, will promote their germination - put the seeds in a jar with clean river sand and shake well.

  • As soon as the frosts stop, the seedlings can be sent to open ground.
  • They are planted in increments of 0.8–1 m.
    Close planting will interfere with the bushes, as they grow up to 1.5 meters and will affect the harvest.
  • The soil can be alkaline or neutral. You can reduce the acidity of the soil with lime.

Seed preparation:

  • blueberry seeds have a thick shell, so for better germination they must be pierced with a needle, being careful not to damage the kernel;
  • take pre-washed coarse river sand into a glass jar and put the punctured seeds in it;

Every day it is necessary to ventilate the seedlings and remove condensation from the surface of the coating. Watering is done with warm water. During this period, it is very important to ensure that the soil is moderately moist, does not dry out and is not excessively wet.

Review:

Pharmacies now have a large selection of not only medications, but also dietary supplements for the eyes. We decided to try Blueberry Evalar, fortunately it is inexpensive and available in any pharmacy. The whole family took it and came to the following conclusion: the drug is only good as a preventive measure. However, like all dietary supplements. It does not treat any diseases or eye problems, nor should it. Therefore, if you spend a lot of time looking at the monitor, but nothing in particular bothers you, you can take it to avoid further troubles.

But, if any problems have already appeared, then you need to run to the doctor, and then get medications. Of course, there are not many blueberries in the preparation, which the manufacturer honestly described in the composition. There, besides blueberry extract, there is a lot more indicated. And the ideal option is to simply buy blueberries themselves, fresh or frozen, but... they are expensive and are not always on sale. This one is more affordable both in price and in availability at the nearest pharmacy.
