To carry out the correction, you should have approximately half of the artificial eyelashes remaining. The rest of the hairs have most likely simply fallen out or become unusable and should be replaced with new ones.

Types of eyelash extension correction

If the time has already come for the first correction, that is, half of the eyelashes are no longer what they were before, you should go to a salon where you will have a correction.

Even before visiting the salon, you need to decide on the end result. How do you want your eyelashes to look?

There are several types of correction of eyelash extensions, they depend on the wishes of the client:

American
- the number of your eyelashes and artificial ones are the same, they differ only in length.
Japanese
- mink hairs are used for this variety, the result is very thick.
Hollywood

Remember that discomfort or other unpleasant feelings in the eye after the procedure are not normal and this does not depend on the type of correction. This means that the master violated the rules of procedure.

When should you go for correction?

A natural eyelash “lives” on average from 30 to 40 days. The first correction is recommended to be carried out 2 – 3 weeks after extension. The specialist will assess the condition of the eyelashes and tell you when to come again. The standard interval between subsequent procedures is 1–1.5 months.

How to properly correct eyelash extensions

The procedure for correcting eyelash extensions:

If you are wearing lenses, you need to remove them and wash off all makeup.
First, the eyelashes are combed to check which ones are falling off.
Each hair is processed and disinfected.
Then the master removes the artificial eyelashes that are located on the natural ones. Approximately half of the eyelashes are replaced during the procedure.
And lastly, the master attaches new hairs to the regrown eyelashes.

The lashmaker should not glue the material to the vellus eyelashes, they are too weak and will not be able to hold artificial hairs. If you neglect this rule, your eyelashes will not last long. Young masters often make this mistake.

It is important to monitor the revumer during the extension procedure. It should not get on hairs that do not need to be removed, that is, only damaged hairs need to use a revumer. Therefore, only after all the falling off cilia have been removed can you begin to glue new fibers.

It may take about two to four weeks after the extension. How often you will have to perform this procedure depends on the following facts:

How often do you use oily makeup products?

How often do you interact with water, if you count not only daily washing and bathing, but also trips to the pool, the sea, etc.

Individual characteristics of the body. For example, eyelashes can fall off at a rapid rate during hormonal changes, regardless of the qualifications of the artist and the quality of materials.

It must be taken into account that synthetic hairs instantly deteriorate in those people who:

during sleep they prefer to bury their face in the pillow;
constantly touching their eyelids with their fingers, scratching or fiddling with them;

How does the procedure work?

For 2-3 weeks, glued eyelashes look simply gorgeous. After this period, your own eyelashes begin to fall out, and accordingly, artificial eyelashes also fall out. With this method, eyelashes fall out unnoticed. The specialist removes regrown eyelashes and adds new ones.

The lifespan of eyelashes can be increased by following fairly simple rules:

Eyelashes are attached to glue; they are thin and fragile, and require careful care. Mechanical and chemical effects on hairs are absolutely prohibited.
For the first three hours after the procedure, you should avoid contact with water and the sun. During this time, the glue will completely dry, and you will be able to walk in sunny weather and go to the pool again.
Heat exposure should be avoided for two days. It is better to postpone a trip to the bathhouse or solarium until better times.
Sleeping face down on a pillow is strictly prohibited. In this case, artificial eyelashes will rapidly fall out - losses can be up to 50%.
If you don’t want to see “bald spots” on your eyelashes, don’t rub your eyes. You can touch them with your fingernail, but under no circumstances rub them with your fist. It’s better not to use cosmetics either.
Beware of tears! Eyelash extensions can be quite damaged by the salts contained in your tears. One bout of crying and you risk losing all your beauty.

At the client's request, add volume. It happens that a girl has extensions done, and a week later she thinks that her eyelashes don’t look thick and bright enough. In this case, when correcting, you should resort to increasing the number of cilia. Of course, it will be impossible to significantly increase the volume, but adding a little will be quite possible.

The first scheme is correction every 3 weeks.

Point A is the moment of eyelash extensions.

Point B – after 3 weeks, some of the client’s eyelashes will fall out due to regeneration and the duration of the glue, some will grow back and stay on the tips, some will peel off, they also need to be replaced. There will be 40% of eyelashes left that can still last.
